In this course, I explore foundational instructional design learning theories, learner analysis, and their practical applications in instructional design. The goal is to demonstrate how learner analysis, learner motivation, and learning theory can be applied to the design of online learning experiences. Topics include learner profiles; foundational learning theories; the application of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the design process; adult learning; learner motivation; and the development of learning networks.
